HAPPY BIRHTDAY DAD/GRANDPA PER-ARNE!

V with her Grandfather Per-Arne on Dec 26.
Happy Birthday to my Dad, Per-Arne, who is turning 57, tomorrow on Feb 15! I hope you'll have a great Birthday with lots of celebration!

The most precious thing in my life - my beatuiful, wonderful daughter!

I watched the most amazing documentary on TV tonight. It was about a severly disabled woman from GB, who was born without any arms and with short disformed legs. Her name is Alison Lapper and the film shows how she copes with everyday life before, during and after the birth of her son. This documentary really got to me, and I have to say I admire the strength of Alison. I can only imagine the struggle she had to go through everyday to be where she is today, and it made me realize that when I think life is though - it's nothing in comparison!

SNOW CHAOS & TULIPS

Went shopping today and could'nt resist these beautiful tulips! After all it is Valentine's day and if I should get any flowers today, I obviously had to get them myself:-)

Our driveway after the first shuffling round out of four today!

Phu.... It has been snowing all night and most of the day and in total I think we have got about 40-50 cm of snow. With the man in house gone, I just had to bite the dust and get out there doing the shuffling myself - over and over again! And with no one to look after V I had to do it during her naps. But looking at the result - I'm pretty damn proud! Days like this I wish our garage wasn't totally jammed with garden furnitures, garden tools, paint jars etc. It would have been nice to actually have the car in there.....

Sending Happy Valentine's wishes to family and friends - specially to M who will be at the Ice Hotel in Jukkasjärvi tomorrow, probably freezing his b***s off! We are thinking of you and THANK you honey, for the supercute Valentine's card I found on the floor in the Basement...I don't know if I was supposed to find it there, right under Justin;-) but anyways....We are so looking forward to March 15:-). California-here we come????

GOOD BYE SWEETIE

M was really sad he had to leave V for 2 (two) whole weeks, but what to do... Business is business. V doesn't understand that she won't see dad for quite a long time, but if she did she'd be just as sad as mom:-)

The weekend has been really good and relaxing. Yesterday we had a nice Valentine's dinner as Magnus will be in Sweden on the 14th. I thought lobster would be THE course to have (what's more romantic?) so we went all the way of cooking them ourselves. Digged out the cook book and got the recipe and did it all by the book, so I kind of expected it to taste good, BUT the Canadian lobsters are still nothing like the Swedish ones. To be honest - they tasted like s**t! Really miss Swedish seafood....
Well, anyway - as said, the weekend has been good, but ended sadly today when M took off for a two weeks business trip to Sweden. He will, among some places, be visiting Jukkasjärvi and the Ice Hotel. Soooo jealous! But there are light in the end of the tunnel.... Next Sunday my mom and her neighbour friend, Kajsa, are coming to visit us. It is going to be so much fun and I'm really looking forward to have them over.

JUMPAROO AND BEST FRIENDS:-)

Best Buddies:-)

Gabriella, soon 8.5 months and V holding hands... well squeezing is a better description:-)

On Tuesday we went to the Jackett's place for a fika: The and two bite brownies, which I'm totally addicted to - could easily eat a bag a day.... luckily I still have some self control, so I don't (Just half of it - they are soooo tiny!)....but anyway it was really nice and V and Gabriella got to play. Tried to snap some great pics, but realized that it's almost impossible to get two babies looking into the camera at the same time - proven by the pictures above:-)

Jolly Jumping in the Jumparoo!

This past week has been like Christmas all over again for V... first a Jolly Jumper and then - Ladies and Gentlemen, let me introduce: The Rainforest Jumparoo!!!! Another great toy which she loves. This is a combined Jolly Jumper and Exersaucer; the best features from each makes this a favourite.

JOLLY JUMPER

Look - I 'm standing.....almost on my own!

In full action! Up, down, up, down, up, down.....

Yesterday I bought the best present ever to V. A Jolly Jumper, which she loves!!!! It was a big success, and I would strongly recommend it to anyone who's baby is more interested in standing on it's small legs than sitting. It's an excellent toy but yet a good training tool for the little ones .

NEXT MILESTONE AHEAD

....GO!

....steady...

Ready.....

Now V is 6,5 months old and she is getting eager to move forward.... she has started to practice getting from sitting position into to crawl-mood.
Just a few days ago she was completly satisfied sitting still playing with her toys on the floor, now she's constantly moving, flipping and turning from back to belly, going from sitting to laying on the floor and, from there, spinning around 360 degrees and then, all of a sudden, she's on all four! She has started to kick her legs in a crawling movement, and it seems like it won't be that long before she actually gets the hang of it and will be all over the place!
