ANOTHER DOCTOR'S VISIT

Peek-a-boo!
This cutie pie payed another weight/height check-up at the doctor's last Wednesday. She's now:
7.8 kg
71,5 cm
Still fairly tall and skinny for her age - and with lots and lots of hair. I can actually get it into two little ponytails now - the problem is to get them to stay on. Someone doesn't like anything that goes on the head ....
What else is new with V... oh yes! - she's actually walking with her walking stroller, taking steps. It is so fun watching, cause it's a little bit too fast for her so she almost has to run to catch up. But so far she managed to stay on her feet and progress is being made.

BBQ & HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!

Happy Birthday to me!

The day before my actual Birthday we went to the Zee Grill as Carro and Linus were heading back home on the 14th. We had a terrific Seafood dinner at this well renowned Toronto Restaurant. The day after (on my actual 35-years day) I treated myself with the hottest red high heel shoes ever seen:-)

Carro and V clapping each others hands

V has just recently learned how to clap her hands and that is now a new fun game to play. Clapping, clapping, clapping!

Magnus and his beloved grill - this is his #1 summertime hobby:-). But I have to admit - he's pretty darn good at BBQ-ing.

The day after Carro and Linus arrived it was The Big BBQ premiere of the year.....despite the fact that it was freezing outside and almost snowing. Magnus is hard core on his grilling. After dinner (hamburgers with the works) the guys headed to Blue Jays first home game for the season at Rogers Centre and Carro, V and myself stayed at home and just chilled.

GOD MOTHER AND GOD FATHER HERE!

During the past week Linus and Carro were here to visit. It was great to see them again! It took some time for V to get used to Auntie and Uncle but after a while they got along well. V's in that age when she seems to think I will disappear if I'm not in sight, so she is extremly attached to mommy at the moment. Hopefully this will pass pretty soon.
As Toronto is lacking spectacular things to see & do (when CN Tower, ACC, Rogers Centre and near-by Niagara Falls are done....what's left?), we spent a lot of the time shopping. Linus managed to keep it up in 3 days , which I must say is very good for a guy.
The weather during the week has been awful with temperatures around 2-4 degrees and mostly rain and grey clouds. This is by far the worst spring in a very long time in Ontario. Sweden on the other hand had awesome weather with temperatures up in the twenties and lots of sun. Something sure is wrong in the world.... it must be the global warming kicking in.

WELCOME CARRO AND LINKAN

In about 5 minutes my sister, Carro, and her boyfriend, Linus, are arriving to Pearson International after a few days in New York. It is going to be sooooo much fun having them, even if it's "only" for 6 days! Pics of their visit will be posted soon....
V having fun with the mirror - kissing her own image!

V and Dad in the hot tub Friday night after some Floorball games. It is hard to realize that the body gets older, so a warm, nice bath to soothe the muscles didn't hurt!

CANADA CUP

Perfect hight for stand up position!

V by the boards cheering for M!

It hasn't been much relaxing this Easter with the Canada Cup going on. M has been playing Friday, Saturday and Sunday and we were up by Humber College to cheer for dad playing on Friday. V liked it and if she's not growing up to play floorball I don't know what... she has been exposed to it at least once a week since before she actually was born:-).

Canada Cup is a great Tournament for lots of teams from across North America, and even European teams. Many players are from Sweden, living in NY, Boston, California etc.

HAPPY EASTER - AND WELCOME BACK WINTER:-(

So much for having an brand new awesome Convertible... snow and -4 degrees. Ideal weather conditions for that kind of car:-(

So depressing... the whole Easter weekend has been freezing!!! How fun is it to have snow and below zero degrees in April? The right answer to that is - NOT AT ALL! I had tucked away all of the hard core winters clothing, and well.... I just had to take them out again. Right now the temperature is well under 10 degrees below the normal for the season, and I remember last year by this time, we actually could go top down in our convertible!

PEEK-A-BOO

Peek-a-boo/Tittut!

- There she is!

Where is Vendela?

V has just learned to play Peek-a-boo, and that is now a favourite thing to play with any scarf, blanket, shirt or whatever happens to be available. She grabs it herself, and hide her face and then pulls it down and is laughing really hard when we say; Tittut! or Peek-a-boo!

UP & GO!

Unfortunately I didn't get the 15 seconds-stand-alone on tape or photo, but this is another stand alone occasion, only holding on to a Magazine paper by chewing on it!

Now nothing is secure anylonger....anything can be used to pull oneself up against and every little thing needs to be examined thouroghly. Papers and Magazines are soooo funny to play with, and this is pretty much how it looks around here nowdays! She sure knows how to keep me busy.
Time flies and now another 10 days have passed since I posted anything new... Not much has happened in ordinary life over here, but V is taking giant leap in her development. She's crawling - in her own way - but she is moving forward, and her balance is getting better by the hour. The other day she actually stood on her own, without support, for about 15 seconds!
